Col. Russ Hendon, JROTC teacher and all around great guy announced his retirement effective December 31, 2007.  Col. Hendon was a valued member of the Olympic staff for close to a decade.  During his tenure at Olympic, Russ provided a solid learning foundation for his students in a respectful, caring and friendly manner. 

Over the years his JROTC cadets earned many honors and awards, and were valued participants in yearly ceremonies and community events. 

An individual of the highest integrity and this year's recipient of the prestigious 'Feather in the Cap' award, he will be greatly missed by the staff and students of Olympic High School.
