St. Mary's College - November 4, 2010
St. Mary’s College was the beautiful backdrop for the 10th annual “Narrowing the Gap” Education Conference sponsored by The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Contra Costa County (H5C).
Several Latino/Latina Olympic High students attended the event. Students participated in workshops on what it is like to own a business, select a career and how to apply and pay for college.
We all enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the lovely “Oliver Hall”. Students were able to open savings accounts with Wells Fargo Bank and visit many other informative tables at the conference.
Congratulations to two of our students; Arturo Valerio, recipient of a $500 scholarship and Alvaro Lopez, I-Pod winner.
